hi! my name is gary. i’m a youth pastor in mesa, az. i also work for a small software company where i write code & manage projects.
i started this blog during a time of transition in my youth ministry. thought it would be cool to have a place where i could be really transparent to the people in my church. wish i would have thought of this a long time ago.
growing up i always knew i wanted to be a pastor of some sort. didn’t know what exactly.
after college i moved to az and started working with the youth in my church. didn’t take long for me to discover that my heart was in this work. for me there is no greater joy than to watch a student really become a Christ follower.
following Christ is the coolest thing in the world. it’s never easy and i make plenty of HUGE mistakes, but God loves me no matter how bad i mess things up.
